Gazprom’s shares plummet, hit new lows since February 25
MOSCOW, Jun 30 (PRIME) -- The shares of Russian gas giant Gazprom plummeted to 200 rubles, the lowest point since February 25, during the Thursday trade in reaction to cancellation of 2021 dividends by the company’s shareholders, according to data of the Moscow Exchange seen by PRIME.
Following the announcement, the shares dived down, and the securities decreased by 23.8% as of 10.13 a.m. Moscow time when the Moscow Exchange launched a discreet auction mode in the shares. The mode was in effect until 11.43 a.m. Moscow time, and the shares continued falling after that.
As of 12.06 a.m., Gazprom lost 26.72% to 218.13 rubles, but the deepest point for the securities today was a dive of 32.8% to 200 rubles, according to the trade data.
